The Builder After more than four decades of wood working and a quarter century as an avid whitewater paddler PLEDGER’S CRAFT owner and chief craftsman has decided to combine two of his passions to produce the finest paddling craft on the market.
The Boats All PLEDGER’S CRAFT Boats are hand crafted using a fiberglass overlay, encasing a bead and cove wood strip foundation. This method of construction allows the composite boat to be as much as 61% lighter than a roto-molded kayak of same length without sacrificing any strength. The only thing that comes close is a stitch and glue craft which is 36% heavier than a PLEDGER’S CRAFT.
Durability Because the hardness of the top of the line West Systems Epoxy used in the construction, PLEDGER’S CRAFT boats have a much more durable finish than other type of construction. The boat will stand up to abrasive sand and rocks much better than either fiberglass or plastic. |
